“We’re building a wall in Colorado…We’re building a beautiful wall,” Trump said during a speech in Pittsburgh. He had been listening multiple states in which new walls were being erected. He later claimed that he was joking. Border officials also confirmed that no new segments of wall had been built, and that it only extended to areas where prior wall or fencing already existed.

Trump referred to his Secretary Defense Mark Esper as Esperanto. He repeated false claims that US soldiers being withdrawn from Syria were coming home when they were actually redeployed to Iraq, and that some kind of source of oil had been secured without any further explanation. The tweet has since been deleted.
Trump has also misspelled his wife’s name and his own name.

It was quickly deleted and replaced with one that spelled Melania’s name correctly.

Trump had recently announced that he would be ending joint military exercises with South Korea, at the North’s request. During an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Trump was asked if North Korea was trying to drive a wedge between the US and South Korea when he made the remark.
